The purpose of this project is to identify how sexual behaviors among gay and bisexual men are related to their identity and body image.
Participation in the project will consist of complete a questionnaire on sexual behaviors, identity, and body image. No personal identifying information will be included with the research results. It will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete the questionnaire.
The investigator believes there is little or no risk to participating in this research project.
Participating in this research may be of no direct benefit to you. It is believed, however, the results from this project will help identify factors that lead to risky sexual behavior.
Research data will be confidential to the extent allowed by law. Agencies with research oversight, such as the University of Hawaii Committee on Human Studies, have the authority to review research data. All research records will be stored in a locked file in the primary investigators office for the duration of the research project. All research records will be destroyed upon completion of the project.
Participation in this research project is completely voluntary. You are free to withdraw from participation at any time during the duration of the project with no penalty, or loss of benefit to which you would otherwise be entitled.
