As the morphing mutant Mystique, Rebecca Romijn-Stamos plays a complex villain: one who helps our heroes most of the time, but who is willing to destroy all of humanity to protect herself against those who would harm her. Cosmo voters rewarded her with a Best Female Villain nod. But they also recognized that a vote for Mystique for Intimate Actress was in essence a vote for whatever fantasy they chose. For Mystique can shape-shift into anyone she wishes, male or female. But voters ended up selecting Jennifer Garner's character from Daredevil, even though Mystique could easily have assumed Elektra's form.
