Although Andy Sirkis technically never appeared on-screen in The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, he provided the voice for Gollum as well as the movements and mannerisms that would later be digitized. For that, he would be honored with Cosmo Best Supporting Actor and Best Villain nominations. For Return of the King, Andy Sirkis was able to appear in person as pre-Ring Sméagol before being digitized as Gollum. He was once again nominated for Best Villain, and this time managed to take home to prize.
