The Scooby gang confronts classic villains from their past when artifacts in the Coolsonian Museum come to life.

"Scooby-Doo 2" stoops pretty low to deliver gags to its audience (which the film makers must assume are older teens, given the drug references to much of the humor). Like the original cartoon, the conflict is predictable, as is its resolution, including the unmasking of the villain. But that's expected for the franchise. What's disappointing is how low the humor has sunk, or how clumsy some of the effects seem. The film does have some nice moments (a friend I was with even cried), but overall it was pretty disappointing.

My Rating: 5
