Camp

At a summer camp for young Broadway musical aspirants, several young kids and their counselors work out their troubles - Michael, the young gay kid with a crush on his straight roommate; Vlad, the golden boy harboring a secret; Fritzi, the obsessive fan of the glamour girl who turns "Fatal Attraction" on the object of her affection; Jenna, who wires her jaw shut to avoid "fat camp," and Bert, the aging songwriter embittered by his failures.
"Camp" is such a great, feel-good film! It's not completely flawless -- the editing is a little sharp in places, the writing rings a few false notes, and the actors' miss their comedic timing in several places. Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed it and definitely plan to add it to my collection.
My grade: A -
